If, like me, you care about language, writing and words, then welcome to my site. I wrote it to satisfy my somewhat maladaptive urge to help people batter the English language into a manageable form.

Mostly, you’ll find here material that might be useful to you if you want to improve your writing, or might interest you because there’s something new to learn, or might teach you some old stuff in a new way. I hope there’s something here to interest you.

I also offer commercial services, such as proofreading, copy-editing, technical writing, and structural advice for formal writing.* The sub-links under Services provide much more information and a fees statement.

If you think I can assist you with a service, please do have a look around the site first. It will give you a reasonably good understanding of what and who you’d be hiring.

If you arrived here to have a look at the language sections, you are welcome to browse. If an internal hot-link is not active (updating WordPress can sometimes cause minor problems) menus and category post lists are always visible. If you wish to ask a question or challenge the information or request that  comments on a post be turned to start a discussion, please use the Contact page and tell me what you want.
